The Cross Street Training & Academic Center, Inc. is an initiative designed to increase opportunities for learning in a safe and structured academic program that include the following components:
CSTAC After-School Tutorial Program
The after-school tutorial service is available for students who are performing below grade-level, at-risk of failing, or skills deficient in a particular subject. The service is operable Mondays-Thursdays from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm between the months of September through June.
Our tutors assist students with developing skills mastery, homework completion, skills enrichment, fine arts development, college preparatory, and life skills including workplace preparedness.

A Remote Alternative Suspension/Long-Term Expulsion Program
This program targets middle and high school students, who need to remain academically focused in a structured curriculum during periods of suspension or expulsion from a regular public or private school. This program provides students support through both academic and behavior intervention.
Skills Enrichment
This component is designed to assist students who are performing on grade level, but wish to advance their skills in a particular discipline, engage in college preparatory studies, or to develop study skills.
Life Skills/Workplace Preparedness Workshops
Life skills workshops include: Test Taking Skills, Time Management, Stress Management, Reading for Meaning, Writing Skills Development, and Workplace Preparedness Training.
Literacy for Young Adults And Parental Training Workshops
As a national certified Adult Basic Skills provider, we offer basic skills for parents, who wish to develop or enhance skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, higher level thinking, and numeracy for becoming better-informed and more productive parents and citizens.
We provide parental workshops four times during the school year. We desire to encourage greater parental involvement in their child’s life and learning. (P.A.P.P.S.) Parent and Pupil Partner in Studies. This is an intergenerational literacy program.
